How We Protect Your Privacy

PathForward is committed to protecting your privacy and uses some of the most sophisticated security software commercially available. Any personal information you submit to us is sent through a secure channel, using SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security) encryption. You can verify this by viewing and/or clicking on the security seal icon visible on the order page.

To verify that your browser is in secure mode, you can check the URL address bar at the top of your browser. This line should show the first characters as "https" when a secure connection has been established, rather than the "http" which indicates that a connection is not secure. Finally, you can also check for a "padlock" or a "key" icon in the Top Right-hand corner of your browser window. To review security features, double-click on the icon.

In regard to interaction with certain services available on PathForwardPsychics.com, some written communications, such as the messages from advisors in your account, may be monitored by PathForward Psychics for quality assurance and legal compliance purposes. PathForward Psychics does not screen or edit the content of communications between members and Advisors during online chat readings.

Notice to Residents of the State of California, the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides certain rights to those residents in the State of California with respect to the collection, processing and storage of their personal data.  The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives similar rights to residents of the EEA, and the UK Data Protection Act (2018) (DPA) gives similar rights to residents of the UK.

Although each piece of legislation is distinct, each offers similar protections to consumers or data subjects, including:

  • The right to know what personal data is being collected and processed, and the reason for the collection and processing
  • The right to receive a copy of your personal data held by us
  • The right to correct any errors in your personal data held by us
  • The right to the deletion of your personal data (sometimes referred to as “the right to be forgotten” in the EEA and UK)
  • The right to prevent the sale of your personal data

The right to know what personal data is being collected and processed, and the reason for the collection and processing.  The CCPA, GDPR and DPA require companies collecting and processing personal data to disclose the data collected and processed, and the reason for the collection and processing.  Please see “Why do we collect personal information” above for this information.

The right to receive a copy of your personal data held by us.  You have the right to request and receive a copy of your personal data held by us.

The right to correct errors in your personal data held by us.  You have the right to request that we correct any errors in your data held by us.

The right to deletion of your personal data.  You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data that we hold.  This right is not absolute; we may retain certain data when we have an appropriate reason for doing so – for example, to respond to legal claims, to ensure compliance with applicable law and regulation or to ensure that past customers cannot claim new-customer promotional pricing.  Any data that we retain for the limited purposes allowed by law will only retained for those limited purposes, and access will be limited to only those with a need to access that information.

The right to prevent the sale of your personal data.  The CCPA specifically gives consumers a right to prevent the sale of their personal data to third parties.  PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT CURRENTLY SELL PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES, NOR HAVE WE DONE SO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY.

How to Make a Data Privacy Request (Including for Deletion of Personal Data)

If you are a resident of the State of California, the EEA or the UK, you may make a data privacy request by calling Customer Support at +1.866.866.5949 or by sending an email by clicking here.  If you call our Customer Support team, the team member helping you will ask for pertinent details to begin processing your request.  You should be prepared with your account information and with the type of request you are making (see previous section).  Please be explicit and mention that you are making a data privacy request in accordance with law or this policy in order to avoid any confusion about the type of request being made.

If you decide to send an email to us, please be sure to provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • The email address on your account
  • The telephone number on your account
  • The type of request you are making (see previous section).

Once we have your request, we will need to verify that the account holder made the request before proceeding.  This is necessary in order to protect your personal data against unauthorized disclosure or deletion.  If you call our Customer Support team, we may be able to confirm your identity when you call.  If you email us, we will likely contact you to confirm your identity by using the contact details we have on file for you.  In some circumstances, we may request that you upload a copy of government-issued identification to a secure website before we proceed with your request.

Once we have received your request, it may take up to 30 days to process your request.  In some circumstances, it may take longer, in which case we will communicate with you and provide a timescale for completion.   If you have requested a copy of your personal data, we will provide instructions to securely download that data once it has been prepared.

Request for Deletion of Account or Personal Data

If you request the deletion of your personal data, we will discuss this with you to ensure you want your personal data to be deleted.  For example, you may just want your account to be closed, or for your credit card details to be removed from our systems.  This can be accomplished without the deletion of your personal data.

Sometimes customers request the deletion of their data and then request that their accounts be restored at a later date.  If your data has been deleted, it will be impossible to restore your account.  If your account has simply been closed, however, our Customer Support team can submit a ticket to reopen your account if you request it.

Please note that we will retain limited amounts of data, including to ensure that past customers do not obtain promotional pricing that is available only to new customers.  Requesting deletion of your personal data will not enable access to new customer promotions. You may make a request by calling Customer Support at +1.866.866.5949 or by sending an email by clicking here.
